John Engstrand says
in regards too books I real like james gurneys color and light, but i guess you have read that one. I am curious on what book peter recommended.
Aythami Alonso Torrent says
Is that book in deed. Only read first few pages and I’m already amazed. A must have book. I will talk about it and test new things on the next videos
John Engstrand says
Thanks for great videos again, the parts with explanations from real life and discussions how you think and observe things are so nice and also all the tests, makes me smile and just want to grab my brush and paints some more 🙂
Aythami Alonso Torrent says
Hi John,
The videos motivates you and your words motivates me 😉 I’m very happy that you want to paint some more after watching them. Thats one of the reasons I make them.
Maybe is a bit crazy but sometimes I just stand in front of some cool effect and began to think about how this light affects the surface, why this color does that, always learn something new. Life is the best teacher to learn.

Estoy tentado de pillar este video Aythami aunque lo mio sea el histórico… Fantástico trabajo. Enhorabuena!
Aythami Alonso Torrent says
Gracias Rafa!

Really good explanation of lighting and what you’re doing. For me bridging the gap between painting and making art. I’ve only watched 2 videos and if the rest are this good it will blow my mind!
Aythami Alonso Torrent says
Thanks Theren! I’m glad you are learning. The clue is thinking as an illustrator. Hope you like the rest

Other than the ultra Matt varnish, is there anything else you dilute your paints in the airbrush with or is it plain water
Aythami Alonso Torrent says
Nowadays im using a mix of glaze medium and ultra mat varnish from Ak as a thinner. It works really well for me, but i imagine that the normal thinner also works well. I use this combination cause I tested it and worked perfectly
