I don’t have an airbrush, any tips on the replicating the first video skin (preshading) using a regular brush?

Thanks! My tip is to just paint and forget about clean strokes. Trust me, airbrush is not necesary.
You have an example of the preshading highlighting work on the Tyrion Lannister bust. But in this case I unified with airbrush after
